2009 beeshes
1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
I got put on bedrest on New Years Eve of last year. My resolution was not to have that baby until I was full term. I MADE IT. I delivered Jimmy at 38 weeks on the dot. My resolutions for this coming year are vague. I’d like to continue losing weight. I would like to be more productive with my time. I want to keep my GPA above 3.8.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I did! One of my best girlfriends just delivered her baby at 31 weeks on Dec 29th.
Jim’s grandfather passed in November.
None!
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Patience.
January 27th 2009- Jimmy’s Birthday
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Making it through a majority of the year with 2 boys under 2. Continuing to blog. Going back to work full time at a job I love in order to insure my family.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Missing my deadlines for my grants to pay for school. The result however is a blessing in disguise, I really needed a semester off.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A second car. Oh sweet glorious second car.
Heather Spohr. Her strength, grace and dignity has brought me to my knees many times in the past 9 months.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My Mother.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills. BOOO.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going to the beach, Christmas for the boys. Moving out of our old house that was infested with spiders the size of my head.
Hmmm…I’d have to say anything that is on my playlist that I run to. I spent a lot of time at the gym this year.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? So much happier. I’m not pregnant.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Played outside with Chase. It was so hard with Jimmy so young.
Gossip.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
I spent the morning with my family. I did go to work for a few hours in the afternoon, but it was fine.
21. Did you fall in love in 2009?
I fell in love with my new baby boy.
22. What was your favorite TV program?
Secret Life of The American Teenager. (SHHHHHH.Don’t tell.)
There are new people I don’t waster my time on. There are people I no longer trust.
24. What was the best book you read?
Fly Boys
25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Muse
A full term baby.
To buy a house.
28. What was your favorite film of this year?
I am not a movie person. At all. The last time I was in a theater was 2005 for the Devil’s Rejects.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 26 this year. EEK. To be honest I have no idea what we did. Jimmy’s colic was in full blow and I have blocked it from my mind.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Jim to not have to work at a job he hates.
Fashion? What is this fashion that you speak of?
32. What kept you sane?
To be honest? Twitter.
Rob Pattinson. I can’t lie.
Health Care Reform. I would still be a stay at home mom if we would have been able to afford insurance for our family.
35. Who did you miss?
I miss my cousins. I have never lived near them or seen them often, but for some reason this year was harder than most. Maybe it is because they are on the other side of the country now. Don’t worry boys, I’ll be out to San Diego soon enough.
36. Who was the best new person you met?
Jenn. This girl has been a lifesaver to me this year. That and she will be my roomie at Blogher and keep me from hiding in a corner clutching a bottle of Xanax.
Love.

I’m obviously hormonal or something because #36 totally made me tear up and start sniffling.
Love you lots. So, so, so glad I met you. And I can’t tell how excited I am to have you as a roomie for BlogHer10!!
